After what has been a very busy and challenging year, I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I have grown so much over the past few months as a musician, pre-service teacher, and person.
This semester has been quite eye-opening, I didn’t identify as a composer at all or someone who was very tech-savy when it came to music. However through the study of Kuhn & Hein’s book ‘Electronic Music School’, I have learned so much about project-based learning which aligns with my views on student-centred learning. This semester saw me having to use ‘Ableton Live’ when working on projects at the con and while it is a great DAW, I feel like it would be a bit intimidating for a beginner starting out. And music shouldn’t be intimidating. It’s a wonderful thing and a refuge for all the people out there like me who had/have nowhere else to turn.
This newfound interest in composition has encouraged me to pursue some song writing as a passion and who knows, maybe I’ll release something soon! 😉
I’d like to give a huge thank you to all who have helped me throughout the semester, I truly appreciate all of you! And a final thank you, to you, the reader. This is all for you, so I hope you enjoyed it. This isn’t “goodbye”, just a “see you soon”.
Love you all ❤
Alexandro
